      Techno Dance for Temple Fair Just Arrived from Taiwan to Perform at the Festival.  

The first Taiwan ROC 100 Festival will be held at the Stafford Centre in Stafford, TX on September 24th and 25th 2011 from 11am to 6pm (both days) to celebrate the centennial of the Republic of China.



The festival will feature a variety of multicultural foods including traditional Taiwanese food as well as classic festival treats. Music will also be performed, ranging from pop music to Taiwanese dances.


Festival attendees will be able to enjoy martial arts shows, dragon dances, and many other performances.

For our younger guests Ten years old and unders FREE Admission, a special area filled with moonwalks, carnival Games, and other fun activities will be available.

RICE-EATING CONTESTS

      Whether it be a rice-eating contest or the dynamic performances from Taiwanese dance troupes, festival attendees are sure to find an exciting line-up of entertainment later this month as the Houston Asian Jaycee Foundation hosts the city’s first Taiwan R.O.C. 100 Festival, a centennial celebration honoring the establishment of the Republic of China (R.O.C.), September 24 – 25 from 11 am – 6 pm at the Stafford Center (10505 Cash Road near Highway 59 and Murphy Road) in southwest Houston.
  

Think you can be the next rice-eating champion? The Dun Huang Rice-Eating Contest will take place Saturday and Sunday. Festival attendees interested in participating in The Dun Huang Rice-Eating contest may register at the Taiwan R.O.C. 100 Festival Information Booth (located near the festival entrance) 

 Even those with the most voracious appetites are sure to be challenged as participants in the Dun Huang Rice-Eating Contest are asked to eat as many bowls of white rice as possible in a three-minute span. Prizes will be awarded to winners from each round.
